Physio Republic take the protection of your personal data very seriously, this statement outlines how we obtain and use it in line with GDPR.

Who is collecting the data & for what legal basis?

(Craig Wilson trading as) Physio Republic collects and stores the data using secure servers, we only request and store data that is vital to your treatment and safety. The legal basis for collecting and storing your data is exclusively for the purposes of fulfilling our business contract with you in order to treat your condition or injury. Your data is collected either when you book an appointment online, or at the clinic by a staff member or associate.

How is your data used?

We store personal information to verify your identity and to assist with treatment protocols. Your treating clinician will maintain records of your presenting conditions, treatment and progress on our clinic servers.  We also have a monthly newsletter which we may contact you about, you have the option to subscribe to if you wish.

Will your data be shared with any third parties?

Your data will not be shared with any third parties, except in the fulfilment of any business contract directly relating to your treatment e.g we are required to send treatment reports to your medical insurance company if they are paying for some or all of your treatment, and for referrals to request specialist services or scans.  Some of our clinical staff are self employed associates and bound by a strict professional code of conduct to carry out treatments and data processing.

How long will your data be stored?

Personal data will be purged 8 years after your last treatment date in accordance with the legal requirements of medical notes.

Your right to view data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to view data we hold and process for you, and have the right to rectify personal information.  Information requests will be provided free of charge and within one month as required under GDPR.
